ALI-ABA offers equal educational opportunities to everyone.

As a service to the legal profession, full and partial scholarships are available for ALI-ABA’s live courses, webcasts, and online CLE (on-demand web courses). In an effort to provide equal educational opportunities to all, ALI-ABA awards scholarships to those who otherwise may not be able to attend or participate in its high quality courses.

The following are encouraged to apply for scholarships:

Licensed less than five years
Unemployed
Attorneys who work for
Nonprofit organizations
Legal services organizations
Government agencies
Judges
Judicial law clerks
Law professors
Law students
Law librarians
Attorneys in private practice who
seek to learn skills that will assist them in pro bono activities or are in need

ALI-ABA awards scholarships to those who would otherwise be unable to attend.

To apply for a scholarship to a particular program, please complete the scholarship application and submit it prior to the program date.

In 1947, the American Bar Association, the largest professional organization for lawyers in the world, asked the American Law Institute, an influential and highly respected law-reform organization, to develop the first national program of post-admission legal education.
